In the footsteps of Jesus in the holy land Israel Itinerary

The following suggested itinerary includes most of the highlights I recommend experiencing in Israel, especially if it's your first time here. When we speak, we can discuss any necessary adjustments and also add some unique activities.

Day 1:

Arrival at Ben Guiron International Airport - Welcome to Israel!

Private transport to Tel Aviv

Explore the beautiful 4000 years Old City of Jaffa and Saint Peter Church, commemorating Peter's divine revelation in Jaffa

Stroll through the picturesque Rothschild Boulevard and see the place where Israel was declared a nation - Independence Hall
Overnight: Tel-Aviv


Day 2:

Breakfast at the hotel

Drive north

Visit the 2000 years old Roman city of Caesarea by the Mediterranean Sea

Visit Biblical Tel Megiddo, known as Armageddon 

Visit Nazareth and the Church of Annunciation

 Overnight: Galilee


Day 3:
Breakfast at the hotel

Hike the springs of Dan and see the Biblical city of the tribe of Dan

Visit Mount Bental for a geopolitical overlook over Syria​

Enjoy a Jeep ride through the Golan Heights 

Wine tasting at a boutique winery

 Overnight: Galilee

 

Day 4:

Breakfast at the hotel

Visit Mount of Beatitudes – where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount

Visit Capernaum which served as the center of Jesus’s burgeoning movement and his home during his central Galilean ministry.

Visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fish  

Visit the Baptism site of Jesus by the Jordan River

Drive to Jerusalem

 Overnight: Jerusalem


Day 5:

Breakfast at the hotel

Overlook the Old City from Mount of Olives

Walk down Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane with a stop at Dominus Flevit Church, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. End at the Church of All Nations and see the stone of the Agony of Christ.

Walk through the Via Dolorosa, visit the Stations of the Cross.

Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, commemorating the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. 

Optional: Visit the Garden of the Tomb, recognized by Protestants as the place of the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.​

 Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 6:

Breakfast at the hotel

Explore the City of David archaeological site and see the layers of biblical Jerusalem, where lies some of the most exciting archaeological finds of the ancient world

Visit the Western Wall archaeological garden (Davidson center) and see the ruins of what protected the Jewish Temple 2000 years ago - during the days of Jesus. ​

Visit the Last Supper Room and King David's tomb at Mount Zion.

 Overnight: Jerusalem
 
Day 7:

Breakfast at the hotel

Visit Ein Karem – a beautiful village in the Judean Mountains, believed to be the birthplace of John the Baptist.  

Explore the bustling Machne Yehuda Market and enjoy the endless flavors and delicacies on a private culinary tour. 

Visit Bethlehem and the Basilica of the Nativity

 Overnight: Jerusalem


Day 8:

Breakfast at the hotel

Tour the ancient fortress of Masada 

Float and relax in the Dead Sea, as its healing minerals nourish your skin

Visit Qumran, where the mysterious sect who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls 2000 years ago once lived.

 Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 9:

Check out of the hotel
